Venue

The conference will take place in rooms Z.1.09, HS 3 and HS 4 at the University of Klagenfurt in Austria, which is located directly on the beautiful Wörthersee. A map of the university area can be found here.

The conference

The conference is free of charge and we will provide accommodation and meals. Travel to the conference must be organised, and paid privately. During the conference, participants will have the opportunity to give a 20-minute presentation on their research. There will also be some networking events hosted by the organisers.

Travelling to Klagenfurt

Klagenfurt Airport has direct flights to/from Cologne, Germany (Eurowings, not daily!) and Vienna, Austria (Austrian Airlines). It is also possible to arrive via the neighbouring airport of Ljubljana, Slovenia.

From Klagenfurt Airport to the University:

Klagenfurt Airport is not very well connected by public transportation. The bus (number 42) leaves once an hour (always at xx:56, from 5:56 am to 6:56 pm).

For all: Take the bus number 42 and get off at Heiligengeistplatz.

For those staying at "Cityhotel zum Domplatz":  From Heiligengeistplatz, the hotel can be reached by a 500m walk. Heiligengeistplatz is also the starting point to get to the university by using the bus line 81 (direction Universität/Krottendorf). Then get off at Universitätsstraße.

For those staying at "Pension Wachau": Heiligengeistplatz is the starting point to get to Pension Wachau by using the bus line 81 (direction Universität/Krottendorf). Get off at the bus stop Klagenfurt Jugendgästehaus, from where the Pension Wachau can be reached by a 250m walk. There are two ways to get from Pension Wachau to the University:

1) From Pension Wachau the University can be reached by a 900m walk, or

2) From the bus stop Klagenfurt Jugendgästehaus you again take the bus line 81 (direction Universität/Krottendorf) one stop to the University.

The university campus is not in the city center, but there are reasonable bus connections (day / night) from the city center, see  online bus schedule or here.
